Master of Business Administration in Logistic and Shipping Management is a 2 year professional management course in the postgraduate level course. This course can only opt after completion of graduation in a discipline.

If an individual is aspiring to take up this course then he or she has to go through a Common entrance test like CAT, MAT, XAT, SNAP and many more. Although some colleges and universities conduct their own exams to secure a good ranking in the Common Entrance Test. 

After graduating in this course one can find many job opportunities with shipping companies, port and harbour trusts, government dockyards, Import- Export firms, logistic supply chain etc.

Fee structure of the colleges offering this management programme ranges from around INR 90,000 to INR 10,00,000

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • A student has to have completed his graduation under graduation or equivalent examination in any stream through a recognised institution with a minimum total marks of 50 percent. 
  • The students is not supposed to have any back or compartment in any of the subject at his graduation.
  • Most of the colleges and universities shortlist students on the basis of their marks in the Common Entrance Test like XAT, MAT, CAT, SNAP and many more.
  • Further for reserved quota students have to show their reservation certificate issued by the authorities so that one can avail the facilities of the quota

ADMISSION PROCESS

The procedure of admission involves appearing for a Common Entrance test on the basis of which one's admission is dependent. Most of the reputed institutions conduct their own common entrance test or shortlist students through other entrances like MAT, SNAP, CAT, XAT and many more.
  • Student must have a minimum total marks of 55 percent in his under graduation to proceed further in order to sit for the entrance exam
  • Once the student has passed through all the stages of this process the final allotment of seats take place, where one has to deposit the fee of the particular institution. Then after registration for the respective academic year the student gets his seat in their college.
